The State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan receives the international RCEC quality mark

During the past period, RCEC conducted an institutional process audit of the exam organisation of The State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SEC) is a public legal entity, established according to the decree signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on April 11, 2016.

The SEC is considered to organise final assessment of students at secondary schools, centralised admission examinations to residency (medical education), undergraduate and graduate levels of higher education at universities, as well as at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The SEC conducts exams for state agencies, legal entities and individuals on a contractual basis for recruitment of civil service personnel. The SEC also administers exams for admission to higher education institutions and VET (vocational education and training) institutions on a competitive basis. The SEC plays a significant role on formation of state policy on civil service and administers tests for admission to civil service and for continuation of civil service roles.

The RCEC audit was aimed to assess and improve the quality and efficiency of examinations procedures conducted by the SEC in accordance with international quality standards for educational assessment.

It is noteworthy that the SEC has successfully passed the audit carried out by RCEC.As the result of the audit, the SEC was awarded with a certificate obtaining the quality mark of the RCEC. RCEC’s quality mark is independent proof that the examinations conducted by the SEC meet the highest quality standards. Moreover, The State Examination Center of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the first organisation among the assessment institutions of the post-Soviet countries to receive this quality certificate.
